Broken Partial Dentures
Acrylic breaks can be repaired through the mail.

Broken metal on any denture cannot be repaired through the mail.
Exception : Metal clasps can be repaired provided a impression is sent with partial.

Once the dentist has the impression of your partial, a dental model of the structure of your mouth can be made. From this model, repairing a metal clasp makes more sense because now the dentist can place the clasp on the partial denture that will closely fit the natural tooth. After you get your clasp repair back, you may need to see a dentist for a final adjustment. Whatever you do, never try adjusting it yourself because if you bend too much it will actually break.

Other areas that are broken metal can only be fixed correctly by a local dentist.
Partial dentures are precision dental appliances. The repair of metal is too tricky to get it right the first time. A local dentist is needed to make sure the repair is done properly.
