While budget may seem to be the main concern getting new dentures, duplicate dentures, or emegency dentures should not be considered as new dentures. Duplicate dentures and or emergency dentures are made for temporary uses until the original denture is repaired.

Some folks however may easily get confused when they find emergency dentures or duplicate dentures that sell for a fraction of the cost of your average denture. First, duplicate dentures are exact copies of the old worn tattered denture, but with new materials. The materials are much softer than other dentures because soft material is needed to make a copy of a denture. Soft materials can wear down rather quickly as compared to other dentures. Some folks should understand that duplicate dentures are much weaker than other dentures.

Once again, duplicate dentures are made for temporary uses. Folks may easily get confused just by the wording that it is a new denture, of which the materials are, but there may be no print on the quality of the materials nor the use solution of the denture.

Duplicate Dentures :

Should there be a need to get a replacement denture, then get a replacement denture instead of a duplicate denture. What can happen with soft denture materials is the denture can discolor very easily and wear down fast.
